Oh, the places we’ve been…
January 2nd, 2011This family loves to travel. It’s where we get our creative, spiritual and humanitarian juices to flow. And yet it has been an entire of year of staying put. I’m sure you don’t feel too bad for us right? Join the fricken club, you may be saying.
We focused on growing our Boston Wedding Photography business and being in the togetherness of family. We learned some tough lessons and we also got clear on what we want to create. We also got clear on where we want to live, and as my 2011 Intentions read “We live in Harvard, MA in a beautiful, expansive home with nature all around us, where we have ample space for our photography studio”.
Yes, it’s our intention to move. As with anything, always difficult to make certain choices, but when it feels RIGHT, it just feels right. And since we can’t control everything, we will go with the flow of what is presented. This or something better!
And so with the want to move, come other choices. Glen & I have vowed to be good stewards of our money; Taking good care of what we are blessed with, and taking good care of our future. We have been so in the moment for the past few years, that now it’s time to bring more balance into every area of our lives.
And whether we like to admit it or not, finances play such a vital role.
Unto the other vital role: our marriage. The bliss of travel brings such a founding bonding to us, and since travel won’t happen for a bit, we are having to get creative with the same adventurous touch. Check this sweet New England getaway- (yes, no plumbing, but so very sweet!) http://www.massretreats.com/temenos.html
I conducted a silent retreat this past fall and I fell in love with this place, so I’m thinking it’s low key and close enough for us to take a few days to be nestled in the woods. Not sure if sans kids, but we’ll see.
As I prepare to give my “2011 Intentions” I think about how important it is to be clear on what we want and to stay disciplined on tracking our progress. Our hope for all of you…. to be clear & discipline in what you want for 2011. (not the usual Peace & Love, others have wished that for you already, I’m sure)
We love you!
The GADS (Glen, Asha, Dharma, Sarada)
